More changes to Statutory Sick Pay in response to Coronavirus

The Government has made further changes to the SSP rules to ensure that it is now payable to employees who are unable to work because they fall into the extremely vulnerable category and have been advised to shield. This change came into effect on 16 April 2020.
Normally to be eligible for SSP, an employee must be incapable of work.
Since 6 April 2020, the rate of SSP is £95.85 per week.
